Congratulations!
You have made one of the most important decisions of your life: To celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church. Your decision calls for much preparation, prayer and reflection. It is our hope that your wedding provides a truly memorable beginning to your new life together.
In the Catholic Church, marriage is first-and-foremost a religious event, not merely a social one. Since marriage is a Sacrament and a Holy Act, the wedding liturgy is carefully governed by the Church.
Initial Meeting
Second Meeting
The next meeting date is filling out the Prenuptial Questionnaire for the Archdiocese of San Antonio as well as the Fully Engaged Questionnaire. These help in the process of marriage prep.
Subsequent Meetings
The priest will then continue to meet once a month with the couple, they will review the Fully Engaged Questionnaire, and do the wedding planning for the Mass Celebration as part of their marriage preparation.
Practice
Practice for the wedding is usually the evening before with all who will be involved (i.e. the court).
